The Vancouver Canucks will have one of their top wingers back tonight versus the visiting Capitals when Alex Burrows returns from a foot fracture.
Burrows suffered the injury blocking a shot in Vancouver’s season-opener versus San Jose; he’s missed 12 games since.
The Canucks are back home on the heels of a very successful 5-1-1 road trip, but one that also saw injuries to forwards Jannik Hansen, Dale Weise, Jordan Schroeder and David Booth.
Following is a time line for all of the above:
Tortorella says #Canucks will be without Jordan Schroeder for 2 months; Jannik Hansen for 3-4 wks; Dale Weise 3-4 wks; David Booth 1-2 wks
