Blackhawks defenseman Mike Kostka is out 4-6 weeks with a lower-body injury suffered yesterday in practice, according to Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune.
Kostka, 27, has only made it into the Blackhawks’ lineup twice this season, but he did score his first career NHL goal Saturday against his old team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Chicago is plenty deep on defense, so this injury is more frustrating for player than team.
