Coyotes renew affiliate agreement with ECHL’s Gladiators

Unknown

The Phoenix Coyotes have renewed their one-year agreement with the East Coast Hockey League’s Gwinnett Gladiators, the NHL club announced Friday.

“We are glad to once again have Gwinnett as our ECHL affiliate,” said Coyotes vice-president of hockey operations and assistant general manager Brad Treliving said in a statement.

“The Gladiators are a model franchise in the ECHL and we look forward to the continued development of future Phoenix Coyotes in Gwinnett.”

According to the Maine Hockey Journal, the Gladiators will serve as the ECHL affiliate for the Portland Pirates in the American Hockey League.

“I appreciate that Phoenix and Portland consider us an integral part of their system and keep us in mind when they can,” said Gladiators team president Steve Chapman, as per the Maine Hockey Journal.

“We’ve seen some good players come through here and that’s a big thing for me.”
