The HuLK line was in fine form throughout most of Game 1 of the 2013 Stanley Cup Final.
The Bruins’ trio of Nathan Horton, Milan Lucic and David Krejci combined for five points on the night, with Lucic scoring the first two goals of the night for Boston.
And it wasn’t just in Wednesday night.
It’s been throughout the playoffs, with Krejci leading the league in playoff scoring, and Horton leading in the plus-minus category.
“We haven’t seen this team there. I thought offensively, defensively, I don’t know if we’ve seen a line like that all year,” Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville told reporters.
“I thought they had a monster game, their top line. Maybe we were looking for a little bit more balance, keeping aware of that line. But they were tough to handle.”
The trio lost one of its members in overtime, however.
Horton appeared to injure his shoulder in the first extra period and did not return to the game. There was no update on his condition following the game.
The Blackhawks eventually came back to win 4-3 in triple overtime.
