L.A. Kings’ forward Jarret Stoll, who was injured from a massive open-ice body check from San Jose Sharks’ forward Raffi Torres in the second round, has been cleared to play, according to Farhan Lalji of TSN.

But, as Lalji reported, Stoll has yet to tell head coach Darryl Sutter that he is ready to play.

It was reported that Stoll may have suffered head and shoulder injuries following the hit, which occurred in Game 1 of the semifinal series.

Torres was suspended for the remainder of the series.

Stoll skated for the first time since the injury just seven days ago.

The Kings, defending Stanley Cup champions, advanced past the Sharks and now play the Chicago Blackhawks, the 2013 Presidents’ Trophy winners, in the Western Conference final.

The 30-year-old center had one assist in the first seven games of these playoffs.
