There are plenty of players to blame for the Minnesota Wild’s 5-2 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 2 on Friday, but backup-turned-starter Josh Harding isn’t an ideal candidate.
He stopped 43 out of 47 shots, giving his team a chance to win in a second straight loss. Head coach Mike Yeo certainly didn’t blame the 28-year-old goalie, as CSNChicago.com’s Tracey Myers reports.
“He was fantastic,” Yeo said. “We left him out to dry tonight.”
It wasn’t lost on Yeo that Game 2 was far less competitive than Game 1.
“They were better from Game 1 and we were worse,” Yeo said.
Now the Wild need to dig deep to make a series of this first-round matchup.
