Even with a 3-1 lead, Sidney Crosby seemed concerned about his team’s play during a first intermission interview with Pierre McGuire on Friday. In hindsight, that discussion foreshadowed the Pittsburgh Penguins’ 4-3 defeat to the New York Islanders in Game 2.

With that in mind, it’s not surprising that Crosby was critical of his team’s play.

“We know that we didn’t play the way we needed to,” Crosby said. “I don’t think we feel like we did enough to deserve that one”

Still, the 25-year-old said that the Penguins need to put it out of their minds as Sunday’s Game 3 approaches.

“That’s the playoffs,” Crosby said. “You can’t dwell on things whether you win or lose. You’ve gotta turn the page pretty quick.”

In other words, the Penguins can’t panic.
