The Edmonton Oilers have signed Yale standout Andrew Miller to a one-year entry level contract.

Miller, 24, was recently named the Most Outstanding Player at the Frozen Four, leading the Bulldogs to their first-ever NCAA championship.

Miller captained Yale this season, finished with a career-high 18 goals and was named the Ivy League player of the year.

According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, there were as many as 15 teams in the mix for his services.

This has been a very good week for Yale hockey. In addition to beating rival Quinnipiac in the Frozen Four final, the school has now seen Miller and teammate Antoine Laganiere ink NHL deals.

Laganiere signed a two-year entry level contract with Anaheim on Tuesday.
