Canadiens lose big again, this time to the Penguins

With the playoffs on the horizon, the Montreal Canadiens are playing some of their worst hockey of the season.

The Canadiens lost 6-4 to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday night, giving them three consecutive losses.

Most concerning is the fact the Canadiens have allowed 18 goals in the past three games. They fell behind the Penguins by four goals before the five-minute mark of the second period and it was a futile game of catch-up afterward.

The Penguins, on the other hand, have won their last five games and moved even closer to securing the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The night provided one milestone for Jarome Iginla, acquired prior to the trade deadline.

Jussi Jokinen also left the game for Pittsburgh, however the Penguins reported on their official Twitter account that it was because of illness, not injury.
