Video: Alex Galchenyuk boards Ruslan Fedotenko

The Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers are engaging in a pretty chippy game on Monday, but don’t blame it solely on the Broad Street Bullies. Ryan White left Kent Huskins with a concussion earlier in the contest and first-year forward Alex Galchenyuk drew some ire for this boarding hit on Ruslan Fedotenko:

It’s worth noting that Galchenyuk only received a two-minute minor for boarding as a result of that hit. (White was ejected and received a five-minute elbow major.)

We’ll see if the NHL’s disciplinary crew agrees that Galchenyuk’s hit isn’t worth the same kind of supplemental discipline as White’s elbow/shoulder (if either prompt any). Either way, the two Habs aren’t making a ton of friends in Philly tonight.
