It sounds like the Boston Bruins have sorted things out with Swedish prospect Carl Soderberg.

CSNNE.com’s Joe Haggerty reports that the team officially signed the prospect on Saturday and that he’s expected to join up with the B’s on Wednesday.

The team announced that it’s a three-year, one-way deal that carries an annual cap hit of $1 million.

Word surfaced on Thursday that the Swedish Federation was going to make it difficult for Soderberg to play for the Bruins, citing an urge to have the 27-year-old represent his country during the 2013 IIHF World Championship tournament.

Whatever issues must have been patched up, however, allowing the Bruins to add a guy who some believe is the Swedish Elite League’s best player to their playoff mix.

Soderberg scored 60 points in 54 games for Linköping in the SEL this season. He’s described as a solid two-way player, too, so there’s a chance he’ll mesh well with Claude Julien’s demanding system.
