There was more than a little concern that New York Rangers star goalie Henrik Lundqvist might have hurt himself making a shootout save during Friday’s 2-1 (SO) loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Apparently he’s a bit concerned, too.

Here’s what Lundqvist told the Bergen Record’s Andrew Gross about what sounds like a hamstring injury.

“We’ll see how it feels tomorrow,” Lundqvist said. “Hopefully it’s nothing.”

The goalie at the other end of the rink was a big story tonight, too, as Marc-Andre Fleury made 34 out of 35 saves. Head coach John Tortorella agreed that “The Flower” was the evening’s biggest star.

“I thought we played real well,” Tortorella said. “Fleury was the difference.”

The Rangers hope Lundqvist can remain a difference-maker during the stretch run.
