Flyers’ Rinaldo out indefinitely with high-ankle sprain

Another Philadelphia Flyers player has been sidelined with an injury this season, as a high-ankle sprain leaves Zac Rinaldo out indefinitely, according to CSNPhilly.com’s Sarah Baicker.

Rinaldo, 22, isn’t an essential player for the Flyers - five points in 32 games played (averaging 8:23 minutes per game) - but his physical style likely endears himself to fans yearning for the franchise’s most fearsome days. He racked up 85 PIM this season after totaling 232 in 66 games last season.

If Wednesday represented the tough guy’s last game of this campaign, at least he went out with a bang. He had quite the rumble with rugged Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust, which you can watch here.
