The Pittsburgh Penguins weren’t done making moves after all. Today, they acquired forward Jussi Jokinen from Carolina.
Jokinen cost the Pens a conditional sixth- or seventh-round pick; however, the Hurricanes will retain some salary.
Jokinen is signed through next season with a $3 million cap hit. The 30-year-old recently cleared waivers.
A 30-goal scorer in 2009-10, Jokinen’s production has fallen to just six goals in 33 games this season.
If Jokinen plays 25 per cent of PIT 2013 playoff games AND PIT goes to Cup final, CAR gets 7th round pick from PIT. #tradecentre
