Anaheim Ducks winger Brad Staubitz was kicked out of Friday’s game against the Dallas Stars for spearing Stars’ blue liner Brenden Dillon.
The incident occurred in the first period, as Dillon was playing the puck from point into the Ducks corner. Charging out to the blue line, Staubitz drove his stick through the legs of Dillon and up, dropping the defenseman. Staubitz was given a major for spearing and a game misconduct.
