Scott Gomez is really going home this time.
The embattled Canadiens forward has officially signed with the ECHL’s Alaska Aces to play there during the lockout.
Gomez was originally announced as a member of the team when Brandon Dubinsky, Nate Thompson, and Joey Crabb inked deals, but he later reportedly denied doing so. Now, he’s set to make his Aces debut on November 14, 16, and 17 at home against Colorado.
Gomez joins an Aces team that’s seen fellow Alaska native Dubinsky dominate play there. Perhaps Gomez can rediscover his ability to score goals, something that eluded him for over a calendar year with the Montreal Canadiens.
