Shifting from a big city like New York to Columbus can be a significant adjustment.
In the case of Artem Anisimov, it might be a welcome change.
Anisimov told Aaron Portzline that he prefers the more placid environment in Ohio instead of the noise and activity of the Big Apple.
“(Manhattan) was tough for me,” Anisimov said. “This is a good city, good neighborhoods. People have been so nice. And it’s so quiet. So quiet.”
Portzline reports that Blue Jackets head coach Todd Richards expects Anisimov to slide into the third-line center spot, although like any team, the combos can change quite a bit.
Anisimov scored 16 goals and 36 points in 79 games last season.
