Jaromir Jagr has signed a one-year, $4.5 million contract with the Dallas Stars, reports ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun.
Jagr is the second 40-year-old forward to join the Stars in free agency. On Sunday, Ray Whitney signed on for two years and $9 million.
For Jagr, Dallas will be his fifth NHL team after stints of varying lengths with the Penguins, Capitals, Rangers and, most recently, the Flyers.
Last season in Philadelphia, he had 19 goals and 35 assists in 73 games.
In Dallas, Jagr will play among the likes of forwards Whitney, Loui Eriksson, Derek Roy, Michael Ryder, Jamie Benn, and Brenden Morrow. (Assuming the Stars don’t move anyone out.)
