With Torrey Mitchell off to Minnesota, the San Jose Sharks had a hole to fill on their checking lines.
Consider that void filled.
David Pollak of the Mercury News reports the Sharks have signed former Stars forward Adam Burish to a four-year deal worth$7.2 million, a cap hit of $1.8 million per season.
Burish spent the past two seasons in Dallas working as a grinder while scoring 14 goals and adding 19 assists. He plays third- and fourth-line minutes and a physical game, accentuated with his ability to talk trash.
Expect to see him mixing it up in many scrums for the Sharks, who lacked bite for most of last season.
