Panthers add enforcer Parros

George Parros

Turns out his agent was right – there was a “good deal of interest” in George Parros. The 32-year-old tough guy has signed a two-year, $1.85 million deal with the Florida Panthers.

As many as five teams were reportedly interested in Parros before he decided on Florida, where we presume he’ll replace Krys Barch in the enforcer role.

“George is a physical player who adds toughness to our line-up,” Panthers GM Dale Tallon said in a release. “He is a high-character, hard-working player who is respected throughout the league. We look forward to George’s contributions to our club both on and off the ice.”

Parros made 46 appearances for Anaheim in 2011-12, scoring once and dropping the gloves 11 times.
