The Devils hit the ice for practice again this morning in New Jersey and rolled out the same lines they did during yesterday’s session. Those lines looked eerily similar to what they rolled with at the end of Game 6 against the Rangers and Rich Chere of The Star-Ledger tweets at us what the Devils might be rolling with in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals.
Forwards
Zach Parise-Travis Zajac-Dainius Zubrus
Alexei Ponikarovsky-Adam Henrique-Ilya Kovalchuk
Patrik Elias-Jacob Josefson-David Clarkson
Ryan Carter-Stephen Gionta-Steve Bernier
Petr Sykora-Cam Janssen-Eric Boulton
Defense
Andy Greene-Mark Fayne
Bryce Salvador-Marek Zidlicky
Anton Volchenkov-Peter Harrold
Henrik Tallinder-Adam Larsson
With this set-up Sykora, Janssen, Tallinder, and Larsson would all be the scratches as has been the norm through the postseason. In short, the Devils are sticking with what got them this far.
