Want to buy Pocklington’s Stanley Cup rings? Well, you can.

rings

Joe Pelletier

Peter Pocklington was the owner of the Edmonton Oilers during their glory years. When they won the Stanley Cup the first time, they were led by players like Wayne Gretzky, Paul Coffey, Jari Kurri, Mark Messier, Glenn Anderson, and goaltender Grant Fuhr. All of those players were in their early 20s during that first Cup run and have since been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

At one time Pocklington had five Stanley Cup rings from their victories in 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, and 1990. However, back in 2008, the former Oilers owner sold all five of his rings.

Now the collectors have decided to once again put them up for auction. The prices ranged from $30,597 to $72,151 the first time, so clearly getting your hands on any of these rings is going to take significantly more than just a love for the game.
