Rangers-Capitals Game 7 time set

Rangers Capitals

Should the Capitals win tonight, Saturday promises to be a wild one on Broadway.

The National Hockey League has announced that a potential Game 7 of the New York-Washington Eastern Conference semifinal will go at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

The game (if necessary) will be seen on NBC Sports Network.

The last time the Rangers played a Game 7 at home in the playoffs was in the opening round against Ottawa. That game -- a 2-1 Rangers victory -- was on a Thursday night with a 7 p.m. start time, yet still drew nearly a million viewers on NBCSN.

Only three first-round games (on cable) drew higher numbers: Boston-Washington Game 7 (1.32 million), Pittsburgh-Philadelphia Game 5 (1.07 million) and Pittsburgh-Philadelphia Game 4 (1.03 million.)
