The NHL has had its fair share of controversial disciplinary calls to make, but Brooks Orpik’s knee-to-knee hit on Derek Stepan prompted some amazing quotes and a late-season headache. The Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman’s check on the New York Rangers center didn’t result in a suspension, though, so here’s the explanation:
