This season is a new low for Alex Ovechkin, but of course it’s all relative. He’s not putting up superstar numbers anymore and this will be his worst season to date in terms of points. Still, he did reach the 30-goal mark on Sunday for the seventh straight season and he did it in quite an impressive fashion:
Unfortunately for Washington, Ovechkin’s efforts proved to be too little, too late. The Capitals were unable to build off that goal, which resulted in Chicago picking up a 5-2 victory.
