Ryan Callahan will miss his third game in a row

Chicago Blackhawks v New York Rangers

NEW YORK, NY - FEBRUARY 16: Ryan Callahan #24 of the New York Rangers argues that a goal should have counted with referee Eric Furlatt #27 in the second period of the game against the Chicago Blackhawks at Madison Square Garden on February 16, 2012 in New York City. Rangers captain Ryan Callahan has missed two games in a row with a hurting foot and he won’t get the shot to test it out today against the Bruins.

New York Daily News beat man Pat Leonard provides the update that Callahan will miss this afternoon’s tilt at Madison Square Garden. Without Callahan, the Rangers are missing one of their more clutch guys of late. Callahan is second on the team in goals and points behind Marian Gaborik but Callahan has been scoring the big goals recently.

The Rangers have a few other guys banged up as well and Leonard reports that Michael Del Zotto and Ruslan Fedotenko will take a spin in warmups to see if they can go while Dan Girardi will play.
