Panthers taking calls about Jason Garrison

Florida Panthers v Ottawa Senators

Could the Florida Panthers be convinced to part with Jason Garrison? One of the league’s most underrated defensemen is reportedly garnering plenty of interest from other general managers today.

Garrison, 27, is third among all NHL blueliners with 13 goals, eight of them scored on the power play where he mans the point with Brian Campbell.

Garrison is a pending unrestricted free agent, and it’s not believed the two sides are close to getting a new deal done. The Panthers, currently the third seed in the Eastern Conference, will likely demand a significant roster player in return for their No. 2 defenseman.
