With Daniel Alfredsson being the captain of his own team in his home city of Ottawa meant that the fans were itching to see him do well.
After scoring his first of two goals in the NHL All-Star Game, the fans showed their appreciation in a big way and Alfredsson was happy to recognize them for it by popping off for a standing ovation.
Alfredsson missed out on netting a hat trick late in the game because of Tim Thomas’ stellar goaltending. Team Chara took out Team Alfredsson 12-9.
