Sidney Crosby’s recovery from his latest concussion is being treated with the utmost care as you’re already aware. The latest step in his recovery, however, looks a bit more daunting.
Crosby is in California to be treated by neurological spine specialist Dr. Robert S. Bray. This follows Crosby’s trip to Atlanta where he saw Dr. Ted Carrick, one of the key physicians in his recovery from a concussion. Seeing the Penguins get this thorough to send Crosby to a spinal doctor makes you raise your eyebrows.
Penguins GM Ray Shero says that Crosby will continue to meet with all the best specialists in order to ensure a full recovery. Meanwhile, Crosby continues skating and working himself back into shape to eventually get back on the ice for the Penguins. When that happens is unknown, of course, and depends all on how Crosby responds to treatment.
For now we’re just happy to get more regular updates on what exactly is going on with Sid.
