It’s been easy to beat up on the Buffalo Sabres during the last couple days. The Boston Bruins did it. The Versus crew provided their criticisms. Brendan Shanahan called Lindy Ruff’s response “completely irresponsible.” For a good chunk of Monday’s game, it looked like the Montreal Canadiens might do it too. The Sabres were down 2-0 heading into the third period, but they showed some serious spine as Derek Roy powered a comeback that eventually ended with a shootout win.
