Today’s Starting Goalies - November 1

Whether you’re interested for fantasy hockey reasons or just want to know which goalie your team is playing in a given day, we thought it might be helpful to share our best guesses (based on various previews from newspapers and Web sites plus our own instincts) on who might start each day.

7:00 PM ET games

Carolina @ Philadelphia

Likely Carolina starter: Justin Peters - Even a workhorse goalie such as Cam Ward needs a breather every now and then. (Source: Chip Alexander.)

Likely Philadelphia starter: Sergei Bobrovsky - The Russian rookie will get the nod tonight against a green goalie in the Carolina net. (Source: Tim Panaccio.)

Chicago @ NY Rangers

Likely Chicago starter: Marty Turco - Two big-name goalies going up against each other in a big-market, original-six clash. (Source: Tracey Myers.)

Likely NY Rangers starter: Henrik Lundqvist - No surprise here after the Halloween break. (Source: Rangers Rants.)

10:00 PM ET game

New Jersey @ Vancouver

Likely New Jersey starter: Martin Brodeur - The Devils have played 12 games and yet still find themselves very low in the standings. They need every point they can possibly muster, so expect Brodeur to continue to get a lot of starts. (Source: In Lou We Trust.)

Likely Vancouver starter: Roberto Luongo - It’s a matchup of two of the biggest name goalies in the NHL, even if both are struggling to some degree. This should be interesting to watch. (Source: Nucks Misconduct.)
