Goal of the Night - October 20 (Teemu Selanne)

While there were nice goals from some rookies (including Carolina’s Jeff Skinner and a game winner from Andrei Loktionov of Los Angeles) and a nice shootout goal or two, when in doubt, go with the biggest milestone. That would be goal number 609 for “The Finnish Flash,” Teemu Selanne. While his great individual effort couldn’t earn a win - or even a point - for the Anaheim Ducks, it was vintage Teemu. A great rush of speed and a knack for finding a hole in the defense allowed the most prolific goal scoring Finn in NHL history to get this one.

As you can see from the video, Selanne now rests at 16th all-time in goals scored, with only one to go before he can tie the legendary Bobby Hull. (Of course, Hull scored a bunch of goals in the WHA, but I digress.)
