NHL Playoffs, Blackhawks vs. Sharks, Game 3: Video of Bolland, Byfuglien’s big goals

Some might forget that - justifiably lost in the Sharks’ heartbreaking Game 3 defeating - Patrick Marleau was nearly a hero by scoring the teams’ two goals. The reason many will forget that is simple: the Blackhawks won the game in overtime and took a deflating 3-0 series lead. Two of the biggest factors in the series (Dave Bolland and Dustin Byfuglien) might not put up Jonathan Toews-type numbers but each one scored huge goals for Chicago.

First, let’s take a look at the night’s best goal - from a style standpoint - via Bolland’s gorgeous breakaway tally against Evgeni Nabokov.

Naturally, the goal of the night in terms of “impact” was Byfuglien’s overtime game-winner. The budding power forward remains in the right place at the right time all playoffs long ... or at least it seems that way. His Blackhawks legend grew quite a bit with this pivotal goal.
