Sidney Crosby avoids injury scare, Sens up 2-0

Sidney Crosby was shaken up after falling into Pascal Leclaire early in the second period. Anton Volchenkov pushed Crosby into his goalie and Crosby seemed to hurt his wrist. It’s unclear if he suffered a cut or just fell awkwardly on his hand.

Reports from sources including Scott Burnside indicate that Crosby is at least well enough to return. It sounds like he was just taking precautionary measures (or being hockey tough) but we will let you know if there any complications.

Before that, Chris Neil banged home a rebound past a sprawling Marc-Andre Fleury to give Ottawa some crucial insurance. It’s now 2-0 for Ottawa.
